Use ldms_client and DCCU to discover and activate Dell Wake On LAN

First, youll need to download and install Dell Client Configuration Utility 3.0. This can go on any Windows system, doesn't need to be a Dell. When you run it, you get this web page: DCCU.PNG

Click the buttons to get inventory.exe, set your desired WoL state, and get settings.exe. Put inventory.exe and settings.exe into a public package share (I prefer \\CORE\ldlogon\packages).

Second, you'll need to download and install ldms_client. Run the core program and activate DCCU, pointing to \\CORE\ldlogon\packages\inventory.exe. Deploy ldms_client_node_installer.exe to all your Dell workstations. Force a full inventory scan to ensure that you're getting accurate information.

Third, use this query to locate machines needing the next step, and set up a package definition for your settings.exe program: Settings.exe.PNG Schedule and deploy this job, then force another full inventory scan when it's done.

Finally, use this query to demonstrate the results.
